Cheap accommodation near Manchester PLAB 2 venue?

Booked my PLAB 2 for next month. Any recommendations for budget hotels or shared rooms near the GMC assessment centre?

I stayed at the Premier Inn near the Manchester centre for my PLAB 2 and it was about £45/night booking 3 weeks early. The tram to the venue took 12 minutes. Avoid anything right next to the centre unless you want noise before the exam.
