Booked my PLAB 2 for next month. Any recommendations for budget hotels or shared rooms near the GMC assessment centre?

I stayed at the Premier Inn near the Manchester centre for my PLAB 2 and it was about £45/night booking 3 weeks early. The tram to the venue took 12 minutes. Avoid anything right next to the centre unless you want noise before the exam.Dr. Priya Sharma · 7/16/2026
Try the Travelodge in Ancoats — 15 min walk to the PLAB centre and much cheaper than city centre hotels. Book with free cancellation in case your date moves.Dr. Omar Farooq · 7/16/2026
Airbnb in Rusholme was my choice. £35/night and a direct bus. Just double-check the commute time on exam day traffic.
