Trust grade doctors — how flexible is your annual leave?

I'm a CT1-equivalent trust grade. Want to take 3 weeks off in summer but rota coordinator says max 2. Is this standard?

It depends on the rota. In my department, annual leave is blocked during winter pressure months. Plan your big trips for spring/summer.

Study leave is separate from annual leave at my trust — worth asking your rota coordinator explicitly. Don't use annual leave for courses if you don't have to.
