  I submitted in January and got my GMC number in 6 working days. I had everything uploaded as PDFs beforehand — I think that helped.

  Mine took 3 weeks because they asked for a clearer scan of my primary medical qualification. Tip: make sure the certificate photo is high resolution.

  If you've already done the ID check, the rest is usually 5-10 working days. The bottleneck is often the verification from your medical council, not the GMC.
